Why I created Apex Skills Academy 

The middle and high school years bring important opportunities for growth. In addition to academic learning, students are developing the habits, confidence, independence, and decision-making skills that will shape how they approach school and life.

Schools and teachers play an essential role in that development. Apex Skills Academy is designed to complement their work by giving students additional time, guidance, and practice in areas such as organization, time management, effective studying, communication, asking for help, personal responsibility, and leadership.

My inspiration for creating Apex Skills Academy is also deeply personal. Looking back at my own experience as a student, I wish I had developed some of these skills earlier. School might have felt less overwhelming, and I could have spent less time feeling anxious and more time enjoying the experience, building relationships, and taking advantage of social and learning opportunities.

Later, throughout a career dedicated to developing people, coaching leaders, and helping others recognize their potential, I saw the difference that practical tools, strong habits, effective communication, and greater confidence can make.

I created Apex Skills Academy to bring those same foundational principles to middle and high school students at a time when they can make a meaningful and lasting difference.

My goal is simple: to reinforce the support students receive at home and at school while helping them develop practical strategies, stronger habits, and greater confidence in their ability to manage themselves, navigate challenges, and make the most of the opportunities ahead.

Before creating Apex Skills Academy, I spent many years in corporate leadership, learning and development, coaching, training, and performance development.

Most recently, I served as Managing Director of Sales Force Development for a national organization, where I led a team and helped shape leadership development, coaching, training, engagement, change management, and performance strategies that supported thousands of independent business leaders across the United States.

Throughout my career, I have designed and facilitated learning experiences, coached leaders through challenges and transitions, developed leadership programs, and helped companies and people turn goals into practical actions.

I'm also a certified executive coach, change manager, and an experienced facilitator, with experience ranging from individual coaching conversations to learning experiences and presentations for audiences of up to 8,000 participants. 

Apex Skills Academy brings that experience into a new setting, with age-appropriate content and engaging activities designed specifically for middle and high school students.
